Talk2Nature

GET INVOLVED

Bring a skill.
Bring a question.

The most useful first contribution is small, specific and something another person can verify.

Tell Raviv your role, the workflow you want to improve and whether you would like a 20-minute conversation. Please do not attach recordings, personal research data or sensitive locations. This is an individual conversation, not a newsletter subscription or research enrollment.

GOOD FIRST TASK / PHONE

Try the Field Companion with the microphone off.

On a phone, choose “Try without a microphone,” add one observation marker, stop the synthetic session, and inspect the recap. This checks the interface, not animal behavior.

No animal recording or upload is needed. Trying the workflow requires no account; posting a public reply requires GitHub sign-in. The task includes an email option.

RESEARCHERS

Review a claim.

Help examine a study’s methods, boundaries and relevance to a possible bird-communication pilot. Specialist review is still needed.

DEVELOPERS

Strengthen a tool.

Improve metadata validation, reproducibility or compatibility with existing annotation tools. Begin with a testable issue.

NATURALISTS & SUPPORTERS

Ground the question.

Describe a real observation workflow or a research need. We are not yet accepting raw animal recordings or donations.

Build this knowledge hub with us.

Use GitHub issues to discuss findings, propose corrections and coordinate small tasks. You can draft a contribution here before deciding to post it. There is no public recording intake or automatic publication.

How we work together

Credit the people and studies behind the work. Share original summaries, not copied articles. State uncertainty. Respect animal welfare, privacy and sensitive locations. Correct mistakes openly.

Organizations in the library are references and possible connections; none is presented as a confirmed Talk2Nature partner.
